Deluxe Wooden Catan Set (White Oak), 5-6 Player Expansion - Wedding/Anniversary Edition

When I was first introduced to Catan, I played so much I quickly beat up my cardboard hexes that came with the game. This inspired me to look for a more durable set – and ultimately to make one. These sturdy tiles are made for the long haul and pay tribute to each resource hex from the game.

The custom hexes are made to work with your existing Settlers of Catan Game. The Catan-inspired standard set includes 18 number tokens, a 6-piece border set, a custom robber token, 9 harbor tokens, and 19 resource tiles that have been stained separate colors for each resource:

1 desert, 4 sheep (albeit 1 is a black sheep), 3 brick, 4 wheat, 3 ore, and 4 wood hexes

Additionally, if you purchase the expanded set, it includes the necessary pieces to accommodate the 5-6 player version of the game. Additional pieces include 28 number tokens, 2 harbor tokens, a 4-piece border expansion, and 11 resource tiles:

1 desert, 2 sheep, 2 brick, 2 wheat, 2 ore, and 2 wood.

Each hex has a hexagon-shaped inset for the number tokens to sit within the hex. The desert hex has an inset for a desert symbol. The back of the white oak resource hexes have a blue stain to represent water if used as part of expansions where resources are flipped over during game play. Additionally, this deluxe set includes a customized desert hex featuring a name, family name, or other 2-3 word custom text. Please specify in your order details.

Border is finished walnut with insets to accommodate ports used during game play.

All GameMason items are sized to work with your existing Settlers of Catan game. You must own the Settlers of Catan game by Klaus Teuber in order to use and enjoy this board. Hexes are 0.224 inches thick and have high grade appearance and are consistent in thickness.

The set includes White Oak and Walnut items only – not Catan game pieces. Also, please note that there are variances in the appearance of the wood that is reflective of the natural variances in wood – i.e. some hexes are darker, some lighter, etc.
